FECIF, the European Federation of Financial Advisers and Financial Intermediaries, is pleased to announce the unanimous re-election of Vania Franceschelli (ANASF) as Chairperson. The vote took place on the morning of 9 June, during the FECIF Extraordinary General Meeting 2026, reflecting the strong confidence placed in her leadership and in the direction the Federation has taken in recent years.
The re-election was accompanied by the unanimous re-confirmation of the other members of the Bureau:
Martin Klein (VOTUM) – Deputy Chairman
Simon Colboc (CMI) – Secretary General
St. John Coombes (CIFSA) – Treasurer
This unanimous outcome reflects the trust placed in the Board and recognition of its collective work in representing the interests of financial advisers and intermediaries across Europe.
FECIF's mission remains firmly rooted in advocacy. The Federation works to ensure that the voice of financial advisers is heard by European regulators, policymakers and stakeholders, while also helping national member associations anticipate and respond to regulatory developments emerging from Brussels.
Under the leadership of Vania Franceschelli and with the support of the Board, FECIF has continued to strengthen its role as a key bridge between European policymaking and the financial advice profession. Recent activities have included increased engagement with European institutions, contributions to major policy consultations, the publication of the FECIF White Book, and ongoing advocacy on issues such as the Savings and Investments Union, retirement provision, financial literacy and access to professional financial advice.
Commenting on her re-election, Vania Franceschelli said:
"I am honoured by the confidence placed in me and grateful for the continued support of our members. The coming years will be important for the future of financial advice in Europe, and I look forward to continuing our work together to ensure that the voice of advisers and intermediaries remains well represented in the European debate."
This re-election marks both a recognition of the achievements of the past mandate and a renewed commitment to continue strengthening FECIF's role in support of its members and the wider profession across Europe.
